Zoom Airlines Inc. was incorporated in May, 2002 by a team of industry veterans with extensive travel and aviation experience. Based in our Nation's Capital, the company was created to fill an emerging opportunity in the Canadian leisure travel market. Zoom operates a combination of scheduled and charter services to destinations including the U.K., France and the Caribbean.

In 1992, under it's ‘National Airports Policy, the Government of Canada began to transfer responsibility for management of airports to ‘local airport authorities' across Canada. As each local airport authority was established in the major airport communities, the Government of Canada (Transport Canada) negotiated a ground lease (known as the Canada Lease) for the airport(s) that would fall under the local airport authority.

The National Aboriginal Health Organization, an Aboriginal designed and controlled body, will influence and advance the health and well-being of Aboriginal Peoples through carrying out knowledge-based strategies.

The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) is an independent corporation created by the Government of Canada to fund research infrastructure. The CFI's mandate is to strengthen the capacity of Canadian universities, colleges, research hospitals, and non-profit research institutions to carry out world-class research and technology development that benefits Canadians.

Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) is a not-for-profit foundation that finances and supports the development and demonstration of clean technologies which provide solutions to issues of climate change, clean air, water quality and soil, and which deliver economic, environmental and health benefits to Canadians. To do so, the Foundation draws from an investment fund of $550 million.
